This program is concerned mainly with the democratizing the sources of knowledge production so that lived experience of ordinary people can also come to occupy a respectable place in the area of knowledge creation and distribution.

  • The recording, collection and organizing of important cultural artifacts from various cultural formations is a task the foundation is keen to assist and support.
  • To make available resources for continuous research and critical analysis of existing accounts of South African and general African history.
  • Supporting development of digital technologies aimed at increasing access to historical information and media resources as well as to improve the process of systematic record keeping and archiving.
